The Fun Fit Pass program is changing! Check out Frequently Asked Questions below, or contact your local library to learn more.
Available from your public library!
Our Fun Fit Pass program is undergoing a major overhaul - including a name change! The following Fitness Facility Passes are now available at your Pictou County public libraries:
What is a Letter of Referral to the YMCA? How do I use it?
As part of the YMCA Community Referral Program, a Letter of Referral may be picked up from any of our Library branches. Just let any of our branch staff know you're interested in this program, and they will give you your letter!
Bring the letter to the YMCA of Pictou County Membership Services, and redeem the letter for 1-month free trial YMCA membership.
How often can I use a YMCA Letter of Referral?
You can redeem one library-provided Letter of Referral to the YMCA, per household, per year.
Photo ID: YMCA requires anyone 16 years or older to show government-issued photo ID to activate the 1-month free membership.
What is a Pictou Pool Pass? How do I use it?
Free family passes to the Pictou Fisheries Training Pool may be borrowed from the Pictou Library. Bring the pass to the Pictou Pool to access their facilities for free!
These passes can be checked out for a 14-day loan period.
In order to better serve all of our patrons:
- Loans will not be renewed
- Passes are limited to 1 per patron
What access does the pass grant borrowers at the Pictou Pool Facility?
The passes are family passes. They are subject to the policies of the Pictou Pool in regard to what they consider a family under their fee structure.
Passes grant users access to all of the services that a regular family pass would, excluding certain classes and lesson that require registration (i.e. swimming lessons), over the loan period.
