Richard Murphy

Richard Murphy

Richard Murphy lives in Pleasant Valley, Pictou County and readily admits to having a passion for wildlife photography. “The excitement of the chase…the satisfaction of the shot…the quietness and solitude of the woods…keep me going back. Wildlife photography gives me a deep sense of fulfillment. I like to capture the beauty of the subject and bring it back to share with others."

"Photo ethics are very important to me, as I was taught by Harry Brennan. The subject’s well-being, be it an orchid or an eagle, comes first – before the picture-taking."
