One of our larger branches, Pictou Library is located in downtown Pictou, as part of the deCoste Culture Hub. We offer a full range of free services and access to the resources of all Nova Scotia public libraries. Pictou Library is also an @NS community technology access site. At the Pictou Library you can access a wireless hotspot to high speed Internet.
All library programs are offered free of charge, although space is limited - so please call the Library for more information, and to register 902-485-5021.
Regular library programs are offered through the fall until the spring (from September to June). Over the summer months, special programming (such as the Summer Reading Clubs for children) is offered.
In addition to regular library programs and events, join us for workshops, presentations, and evening seminars on a variety of topics. Some of our special programs include, family movies, puppet shows, Summer Reading Clubs for kids, numerous author readings and book signings.
Pictou Library is also home to several special cultural collections, including an Indigenous Collection, a Gaelic Collection, and the Bud White Collection of settler history, which includes various materials relating to the history of Pictou County and Nova Scotia in general. Even more local historical material is regularly being digitized and can be found online at NovaStory.ca

The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library Board is pleased to provide non-profit groups with meeting space free of charge, when not in use for library activities. These meetings are to be of a non-fund raising, non-revenue generating nature. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject requests for the use of meeting space.
