About This Project

The Sage Of The Samson: Canada's Oldest Locomotive pamphlet was created by the Pictou County Historical Society in 1968 as part of the creation of a permanent Samson display.  The Samson is now restored and displayed at the Nova Scotia Museum of Industry.  To read more about early Pictonian Locomotives, click here.

The digitization of this pamphlet was completed by Jolene Shaw and sponsored by Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.
