Open Door Clubhouse - New Glasgow

This program is for adults who are experiencing on-going mental health difficulties, and are looking for an opportunity to participate in their recovery. It is a place for people to have support in a safe caring environment. It is open Mon to Fri 8am-4pm and on the weekend there are social events. Each day is set up as a working day, as people participate in different work units, like: kitchen unit, maintenance unit or clerical unit.

CMHA is a national organization with a local office in New Glasgow that serves the Pictou Co. area. The main focus is on wellness and prevention. They are working on dispelling stigmas through education and awareness. The organization is made up of a volunteer board of active community members. Funded by the United Way.They have pamphlets and educational materials for loan to people interested in learning more about a particular aspect of Mental Health.
