About this Project
Life on the Home Front in Antigonish and Pictou Counties during the Great War 1914 – 1918 is a project of the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.
The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library Board believes it is vital to ensure local history, culture, and information is presented in an accessible and educational manner for all our communities and visitors. Projects such as Life on the Home Front, as well as our larger NovaStory.ca initiative, demonstrate this commitment.
Special mention must go to Derek Andrews of the River John CAP Society for the original idea of a historical newspaper Blog. Appreciation is also due to the Angus L. MacDonald Library, Saint Francis Xavier University, for allowing access to microfilm copies of the Antigonish Casket.
