The Ageing Antigonisher's Walking Club!

WALK YOURSELF TO WELLNESS!! The Senior Safety Program is partnering with StFX University to begin a Seniors Walking Club. FREE of charge, indoor setting, and social atmosphere.

Healthy Cooking Class

Interested in cooking and mutrition too? Have a night out with a friend and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Chef Gilles! Cost of this Sobey's Nutrition event is $15.

Antigonish Community Grief Support Group

As we go through life, loss in its many forms can cause very difficult challenges. An 8 week grief support program is being offered to help people walk through the grief process as they encounter a most difficult and painful yet normal experience. All are Warmly Welcome. No Fee.

Health Connections Information Sessions

When: Tuesdays from 4:00pm - 5:00pm. Everyone Welcome.

  • 1st Tuesday of every month - Coping with Life's Challenges. Life is full of stress - both good and bad. Join us in a conversation about our reactions to stress. We may not be able to control what happens to us but we can control how we react to it!
  • 2nd Tuesday of every month - Active Living. Join us for a conversation on the who, what, where and the how of active living. You might be surprised how easy it is to get started and how quickly the benefits add up!
  • 3rd Tuesday of every month - Eating Healthy. Come learn practical tips on how to make wise food choices and discuss how to make balanced meals. Sharing healthy habit ideas will help you to develop your own action plan, so you can focus on eating behaviors you are interested in changing.
  • 4th Tuesday of every month - Finding Your Motivation. Have you ever said "I should exercise"....or "I should eat better but I just can't get motivated"? Well, you are not alone. Join us in the conversation about how you can shift your thinking and develop new skills.

Stop Smoking Program

Are you concerned about your smoking? Free 10-wee Stop Smoking Program. Nicotine replacement (patch, Gum, etc) and medication available.

Women Alike Cancer Support Group

Open to all females with a cancer diagnosis, cancer survivors and their support persons. Come share stories, learning experiences and humor. New members welcome.

Reiki

Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique for relaxation that also promotes healing. A warm and soothing energy flows from the hands into the client, promoting relaxation and releasing tension. It restores balance to mind, body, and spirit. Certified Reiki practitioners with many years experience offer treatments FREE.
